⚠ Data Limitation
The forest cover layer uses the Hansen Global Forest Change dataset, which defines forest as areas with >30% canopy cover. Areas with degraded or open-canopy forest (e.g. some national parks and wildlife reserves) may appear as forest loss even where tree cover persists. The Forest Reserves layer (OSM) shows officially designated protected areas for reference.
